Console repairs, including the ones that need the board.
No picture, no power, a disc that won’t read, a controller that drifts. PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo faults are often board-level, which is why we see so many after other shops have given up.
PlayStation 5 and 4, Xbox Series and One, Nintendo Switch (including Lite and OLED), and older consoles by assessment.
Sounds like one of these?
- No picture or “no signal”A damaged HDMI port, or the HDMI chip and board circuit behind it.
- Won’t turn on, or turns offPower supply, or power faults on the board.
- Disc not reading or not acceptedDrive mechanism, laser, or the drive board.
- Overheating or very loudDust, failed fan, dried thermal paste or liquid metal issues.

- Controller drift or buttonsWorn stick modules and buttons.
Diagnosis first
Consoles are tested open on the bench: power rails, HDMI output, drive and thermal behaviour. So many console parts are soldered that much of this is board-level work from the start, and if someone has already opened it, we check for damage from that attempt before quoting.

Questions about console repairs
Another shop said the HDMI port can’t be fixed. Can it?
Usually yes. The port is replaced on the board, and the HDMI controller behind it is checked at the same time. If the board damage is extensive we’ll tell you before you commit.
Will opening the console affect its manufacturer warranty?
Opening a console can affect manufacturer warranty cover. If your console is still under the manufacturer’s warranty, check that first; we’ll say so if we think you should.
I don’t know what’s wrong with it. Can I still ask?
Yes. Describe what you see and what happened. “It got wet and now the screen flickers” is more useful to us than a guess at the part, and the enquiry has an “I don’t know” option at every step.
What happens to my data during a repair?
Back up anything you can before sending a device in. We only access what the repair and testing need, and we’ll tell you before any step that could affect your data.
