Start with the problem, not the device.

You don’t need to know what part is broken. Tell us what you see and what happened. We work out the rest and explain it before you decide anything.

The repairs we see most

Across every device type, faults come in a few families. If yours is in this list, it is a familiar job. If it isn’t, that’s what the enquiry is for.

  • Displays and glassCracked, black, flickering, lines, no touch.
  • BatteriesDying fast, shutting down, swelling.
  • Charging and portsWon’t charge, loose port, charges at an angle.
  • Cameras and sensorsBlurry, shaking, black camera, Face ID faults.
  • Buttons and housingsStuck buttons, cracked backs, bent frames.
  • Speakers and microphonesNo sound, crackle, nobody can hear you.
  • Software and operating systemStuck on the logo, boot loops, slow, updates failed.
  • Liquid exposureWet, spilled on, dropped in the pool.
  • No power and intermittent faultsDead, or works until it doesn’t.
  • Storage and memoryFailing drives replaced, SSD and RAM upgrades.
  • Console faultsHDMI, power, drives, overheating, drift.
  • Not sure where it fitsDescribe it in the enquiry and we’ll say whether we can help.

Some faults go to the board.

Photo · 16:9Wide: the bench with three devices in progress — a phone, a laptop and a console.

A phone that still won’t charge after a new port. A laptop that’s dead after a spill. A console with no picture after the HDMI port was replaced. Those are board-level faults, and they get board-level diagnosis rather than a shrug.

How a repair works

  1. Tell us what’s happening

Start a repair and describe what you see. “I don’t know” is a valid answer at every step, and you get a case reference straight away.

  2. We find the fault

The device is checked in against your case and diagnosed, not just matched to a part list. If the fault is deeper than a part swap, it goes to board-level diagnosis.

  3. You decide

You hear what failed, what your options are and what each would cost. Nothing goes ahead until you say so.

  4. Repaired, tested, returned

Approved work is done, then tested before it goes back to you. If it can’t be fixed, or isn’t worth fixing, we say so with the reason.

What you can count on

  • Free initial diagnosisAdvanced procedures are only charged if you agree first.
  • A quote before any workNothing is repaired until you approve the price.
  • No fix, no repair feeGenerally. Any exception is agreed before work starts.
  • Six-month warrantyOn eligible repairs, on top of your consumer-law rights.
  • Track your repairEvery case gets a HUS reference you can check online.

The details, and the exceptions, are in our repair terms.

Getting it to us

  • Pickup and return delivery, Brisbane metropolitan area. Priced by location; we quote yours when we reply.
  • Mail-in, Australia-wide. You pay to send the device to us. We cover return shipping after a successful repair. Start the enquiry and you get packing and address details with our reply.

There’s no walk-in counter: every device comes to us by pickup or post.

Already been told it's dead?

"Dead" usually means the obvious fixes didn't work, not that the board was tested. Get a second diagnosis before you replace it.

Questions people ask

I don’t know what’s wrong with it. Can I still ask?

Yes. Describe what you see and what happened. “It got wet and now the screen flickers” is more useful to us than a guess at the part, and the enquiry has an “I don’t know” option at every step.

My device isn’t listed. Can I still ask?

Yes. Describe it in the enquiry and we’ll tell you whether we can help. Not everything can be repaired, and we won’t pretend otherwise.

What happens to my data during a repair?

Back up anything you can before sending a device in. We only access what the repair and testing need, and we’ll tell you before any step that could affect your data.

One question at a time, and “I don’t know” is always an answer.
