Software services
- Operating system installs and reinstalls
- Windows, macOS and other supported systems, installed clean or reinstalled. Nothing is wiped without your approval.
- Software installation and removal
- The programs you need, installed and set up; the ones you don’t, removed completely rather than left half-uninstalled.
- Malware removal and clean-up
- Viruses, adware and pop-ups removed, and the system checked over so you know how it got in.
- Optimisation and troubleshooting
- A slow or unstable computer, investigated: startup clutter, failed updates, driver problems, or a part that’s genuinely failing.
- Privacy and security set-up
- Updates, backups, passwords, accounts and sharing settings set up so you understand what your devices share.
- Device set-up and data transfer
- A new phone, tablet or computer set up and ready to use, with your files moved across from the old one while it still works.
Data transfer means moving files from a device that still works. We don’t offer data recovery from failed or damaged devices.
GrapheneOS, installed and explained.
GrapheneOS is a privacy- and security-focused operating system for supported Pixel phones. We install it, set it up with you, and tell you what you give up.
- GrapheneOS installation
- Installed and verified on a currently supported, compatible phone you already own.
- Configuration
- Apps, permissions, backups and profiles set up the way you choose, with each choice explained.
- Sandboxed Google Play, explained
- GrapheneOS can run Google apps in a sandbox. We explain what that keeps and what it gives up, so you choose.
Physical modifications such as camera or microphone removal aren’t currently offered.
Plain limits
- Software can’t fix failing hardware
- If a slow or crashing computer turns out to have a failing drive or overheating parts, we tell you, and what a repair would involve.
- Privacy settings aren’t anonymity
- Your carrier still knows your phone is on its network, and apps you sign in to still know who you are. No phone is “untraceable”.
- Some apps stop working on GrapheneOS
- Certain banking apps and tap-to-pay services refuse non-stock Android. We tell you which, as far as we know at the time.
- Compatibility changes
- Supported phones come and go. We check the official list at the time of service, and date what we publish.
Questions about software and privacy
Will a reinstall wipe my files?
A clean install removes everything on the drive. If the computer still works, we move the files you want to keep across first, and nothing is wiped without your approval.
Can you get back files I’ve lost?
No. We move files from a device that still works, but we don’t offer data recovery from failed, damaged or wiped drives.
Which phones can run GrapheneOS?
Only certain Google Pixel phones that the GrapheneOS project currently supports. Check the compatible devices page, or tell us your model in the enquiry and we’ll check for you.
