Your PC isn’t finished. Let’s find out what’s wrong.

Gaming rigs, workstations, all-in-ones and the office PC nobody dares restart. Most PC faults are findable; the hard part is finding them without guessing at parts.

Custom-built PCs, Dell, HP and Lenovo desktops, iMac and other all-in-ones, small-form-factor and mini PCs.

Sounds like one of these?

  • No power or no displayPower supply, motherboard, graphics card or a loose connection.
  • Random restarts, freezes or blue screensOverheating, failing memory, a dying drive, or power supply ripple.
  • Stuck at POST, beeping, or showing error lightsThe board is telling you which stage failed: memory, graphics, CPU or power.
  • Won’t boot or boots to a black screenStorage failure, corrupted operating system, or a board fault.
  • Very slowUsually an old hard drive, not enough memory, or malware.
  • Loud fans or overheatingDust, failed fans, dried thermal paste.
  • Storage errors or missing filesA failing drive. Stop using it and back up what you can before it gets worse.

Diagnosis first

Photo · 4:3A desktop PC open on the bench, power supply or storage being swapped.

Part by part on the bench: power supply under load, memory tested, drive health read, temperatures checked, then the board if nothing else explains the fault. We don’t replace a motherboard just because it’s the thing left over.

Repair options

After diagnosis we send you a quote. No repair work starts until you approve it.

  • Power supply replacementMatched to the system’s needs, not the cheapest unit that fits.
  • Storage replacement or upgradeSSD upgrades with data migration where the old drive is readable.
  • Memory, graphics and fansComponent replacement and cleaning, with thermal paste renewed where needed.
  • Operating system repair or reinstallWith your data preserved where possible and your approval first.
  • All-in-one repairsDisplays, drives and boards on iMacs and similar sealed desktops.
  • Board-level repairFor power and board faults on desktop and all-in-one motherboards.

Upgrades

A slow PC is often a good PC with one tired part. We check what the system can take before suggesting anything, and say when an upgrade isn’t worth it.

  • StorageHard drive to SSD, or more space, with your files moved across while the old drive still reads.
  • MemoryMore RAM, matched to what the board supports.
  • Graphics and powerA new graphics card, checked against the power supply and case it has to live in.
  • CoolingBetter fans and coolers, cleaned heatsinks and fresh thermal paste for quieter, cooler running.

Questions about PC repairs

Do you work on custom-built gaming PCs?

Yes. Send the whole system rather than the part you suspect; most faults are easier to find in the complete machine.

Do I need to send the monitor and keyboard?

No. Just the computer and its power cable. If the fault only shows with your particular monitor, mention it.

I don’t know what’s wrong with it. Can I still ask?

Yes. Describe what you see and what happened. “It got wet and now the screen flickers” is more useful to us than a guess at the part, and the enquiry has an “I don’t know” option at every step.

What happens to my data during a repair?

Back up anything you can before sending a device in. We only access what the repair and testing need, and we’ll tell you before any step that could affect your data.
