Phone and tablet repairs, starting with what you can see.

Cracked glass, a battery that dies by lunchtime, a port that only charges at one angle. Tell us the symptom and we work out the part, not the other way round.

iPhone, Samsung Galaxy, Google Pixel and most other Android phones; iPad, Galaxy Tab, Lenovo and Surface tablets.

Sounds like one of these?

  • Cracked or shattered glassStill works, but you’re reading through spiderwebs. On some tablets the display underneath survives and only the glass needs replacing.
  • Screen is black, green, has lines, or touch stops workingThe glass may be fine; the display or digitiser underneath isn’t. Sometimes it’s the board.
  • Battery drains fast, dies suddenly or is swellingDrops from 30% to off, shuts down in the cold, or the screen is lifting at the edge. If it’s swelling, stop using it.
  • Won’t charge, or charges only at an angleLint, a worn port, a bad cable, or a charging circuit on the board.
  • Camera blurry, shaking, or showing a black screenRear camera, front camera, or the lens cover glass.
  • No sound, crackly calls, or people can’t hear youSpeaker, earpiece, microphone, or a blocked mesh.
  • Stuck on the logo or won’t turn onSoftware, battery, or a board fault. We find out which before you spend anything.
  • Got wetEven if it seems fine now. Corrosion keeps going after the water dries.
  • Buttons stuck, back glass cracked, or housing damageHousings, buttons and flex cables.

Diagnosis first

Photo · 4:3A phone with its screen lifted, battery and connectors visible; a tablet opened on a heat mat beside it.

We check the whole device, not just the part you think is broken: a phone that “won’t charge” gets its port, cable, battery and charging circuit tested before anything is ordered. Glued-shut tablets are opened without causing new damage, and a fault on the logic board goes to board-level diagnosis rather than being written off.

Repair options

After diagnosis we send you a quote. No repair work starts until you approve it.

  • Screen replacementGlass-and-display assemblies in the part categories we stock for your model. We tell you which category you’re getting before you approve.
  • Tablet glass (digitiser) replacementWhere the display is separate from the glass, we replace just the glass.
  • Battery replacementA new battery fitted and tested, including safe handling of swollen cells, with the old one disposed of safely.
  • Charging port, speakers, cameras, buttonsModule replacements, tested in the device before it goes back. On many tablets the port is soldered to the board, which makes it board-level work.
  • Liquid damage assessmentThe board is inspected and cleaned before any part is replaced, because replacing parts on a corroded board wastes money.
  • Board-level repairFor faults that a part swap can’t fix. See motherboard repairs.

Questions about phone or tablet repairs

The glass is cracked but the screen still works. Is that cheaper?

On most modern phones the glass and the display are one bonded part, so it’s usually a full screen assembly. Some tablets can have the glass replaced on its own. We tell you what applies to your model when you enquire.

Will Face ID / fingerprint still work after a screen repair?

It depends on the model and on how the manufacturer ties the screen to the phone. Where a feature can be affected we tell you before you approve the repair, not after.

My phone got wet and still works. Should I do anything?

Yes: stop charging it and get it looked at. Corrosion continues after the water is gone, and a phone that works today can stop charging or lose its display weeks later.

Are you a manufacturer-authorised repairer?

Husky is an independent repair workshop. If your device is still under a manufacturer warranty, check with the manufacturer first: having it opened elsewhere can affect that cover.

I don’t know what’s wrong with it. Can I still ask?

Yes. Describe what you see and what happened. “It got wet and now the screen flickers” is more useful to us than a guess at the part, and the enquiry has an “I don’t know” option at every step.

What happens to my data during a repair?

Back up anything you can before sending a device in. We only access what the repair and testing need, and we’ll tell you before any step that could affect your data.
